"Jazz In The Neighborhood"

For quite a few years now I have been running a program of music discovery, fun and education for the young people of our area. It used to be a regular event at the Balcony in ShadySide and has hopped around various venues about town.

"Jazz In The Neighborhood" is a program targeted at youngsters 2 to 8 years of age and attempts to let them discover music creatively at their own level. The program introduces them to jazz and live music usings songs that they may already be familiar with and helps to show them how fun music can be.

Currently, my "Jazz In The Neighborhood" Program is held at the THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH in Mt. Lebanon. The Center is just off of Bower Hill Road on Kane Blvd. The phone number of the JCC South is (412)278-1975. It is held the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM in the community room.

If you are interested in having "Jazz In The Neighborhood" perform for a private function or party, please contact me to discuss your interest. You can email me at joe@joenegri.com or go to my "Contact" page and fill out the "Guestbook".
